Dr. Pukai Jin, DOM, LAc · Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Pukai Jin is the founder and medical director of ProCare Acupuncture & Wellness. He earned both his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and is licensed to practice in Virginia and Maryland. His clinical focus is sports injury rehabilitation, pain management, mental health support, Battlefield Auricular Acupuncture (BFA) for acute and stress-related conditions, and fertility support within the TCM framework. He serves as Vice President of the Young Acupuncturists Association of America and as a Council Member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. His practice is authentically grounded in TCM principles and rigorously informed by biomedical knowledge for patient safety and efficacy.

Dr. Jieying Zhang (Jean), PhD, LAc · Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Jieying Zhang (Jean) brings over a decade of rigorous training and clinical practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She holds a PhD in Chinese Medicine and is licensed in both China and Virginia. Her career advanced from Resident to Attending Physician at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2019–2025). Her clinical expertise spans gynecological health (dysmenorrhea, uterine fibroids, cancer therapy support), pediatric care (childhood tic disorders, insomnia), chronic pain, and sleep disorders. She is trained in Dr. Liu Style Scalp Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She serves on the editorial boards of multiple international TCM journals, is a Council Member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and Vice President at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Hongguan Jiao (Joe), PhD, LAc · Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Hongguan Jiao (Joe) holds a PhD jointly conferred by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the United States. As an Associate Professor and registered expert for the ISO Health Informatics Committee (TC 215) and Traditional Chinese Medicine Committee (TC 249), he has contributed to over 10 international standards and 10 national/industry standards in TCM. His clinical focus is the integrated application of internal and external TCM therapies — particularly musculoskeletal disorders (cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, knee osteoarthritis), neurological conditions (insomnia, tinnitus, Parkinson's, post-stroke sequelae), and stroke rehabilitation. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 research publications.

Dr. Ningjiang Cheng holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAcHM) from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and is licensed in both Virginia and Maryland. He has been in clinical practice since 2019. His approach treats the human body as a complex, dynamic system, grounded in the belief that lasting health comes from balance across all bodily and energetic levels. His clinical focus includes musculoskeletal pain, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and chronic digestive disorders, stress and anxiety, allergies, eczema, and acne. He is an active member of the American TCM Association, Council Member of the Young American Acupuncturist Association, and a member of the Acupuncture Society of Virginia.

Dr. Leo Lee, DOM, LAc, LMT · Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Leo Lee brings over five years of clinical experience from a major hospital setting in Vietnam. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Traditional Medicine at the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine in Hanoi and his MD in Traditional Medicine at the University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City. From 2012 to 2018 he practiced at Thong Nhat Hospital, performing acupuncture, cupping, herbal treatments, and TCM diagnostics in close collaboration with allopathic colleagues. He is an NCCAOM Diplomate in Acupuncture and a current Massage Therapy Instructor at the ELM Health Institute. His practice blends deep TCM knowledge — distal/local needling, electroacupuncture, scalp/auricular protocols, cupping, moxibustion, herbal medicine, pulse and tongue diagnosis — with a modern, collaborative approach. He speaks Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
